INTRODUCING
BLEND FAMILY
Our story began in Sheffield.
Our founders, Matt & Nina, started their hospitality journey in 2006, purchasing an empty pub in Kelham Island, Sheffield.
The Milestone went on to win a plethora of awards regionally and nationally, as Sheffield’s first gastro pub. Its success led to more restaurants and bars in Sheffield, and a growing investment portfolio of young food and tech businesses.
But it was regular trips to Asia that inspired the move from restaurants to food halls. Seeing local families eat authentic, generational food in a communal setting was the inspiration that led to our first food hall, Cutlery Works.
And the commitment and passion to seeing this vision come to life continues today.
We are Blend Family, and we believe that food is more than just sustenance – it’s a celebration of culture, community, and creativity! Our purpose is simple: to bring people together through vibrant, authentic, food-led experiences that showcase the incredible diversity of culinary talent.
We may have started our journey as a gastro pub, but thanks to a pinch of ambition and a heaping spoonful of passion, we’ve expanded into something truly amazing!
Since the launch of our first food hall, Cutlery Works, in Sheffield back in 2018, we’ve been on a remarkable journey, providing a platform that champions talented independent chefs and food entrepreneurs.
We equip these culinary artists with the space and tools they need to not just survive, but thrive! After all, we think every food partner deserves a stage.
Our spaces are designed to be vibrant and welcoming, inviting guests from all walks of life to embark on a globe-trotting culinary adventure, one dish at a time. But, it’s not just about eating; it’s about connecting, laughing, and celebrating the rich blend of our community.
