The Blend behind the Brand
Meet the Blend Family
You’ve seen our food halls. You’ve scrolled the socials. You might have even wondered, ‘Who are the people behind the brand?’
Well, wonder no more. We’re a family — a beautifully blended mix of skills, stories, and the occasional pie obsession.
So, pull up a chair (and maybe a Walkers crisp or two), and get to know the wonderful crew making Blend Family what it is!
Kenzie – Head of Events & Marketing
The queen of all things events and a baking whizz, Kenzie used to Irish dance her way into people’s hearts, and now she does it through cupcakes and flawless event planning. If you ever get a slice of her baking, consider yourself very lucky. And we’d be lying if we didn’t mention her desk: the messiest in the office by a mile. But hey, creative genius comes at a cost.
Venly – Marketing Executive & Blend’s Personal Olympian
Venly is our very own Sporty Spice. If it involves running, jumping, or generally outpacing everyone, she’s probably already done it (twice). That competitive edge? She also brings it into marketing. From creative campaigns to cracking content ideas, she’s quick-thinking, sharp, and always ten steps ahead. If something eye-catching pops up on your feed, chances are Venly had a hand in it and probably got there at full speed.
Ellie - Marketing & Events Executive
Ellie is the creative force behind Cutlery Works’ Instagram. She plays netball and has somehow completed two half-marathons. And because she works in a food hall, loving food isn’t just a personality trait…it’s practically a job requirement. She fulfils it beautifully.
Lucy – Marketing Executive
Lucy is the other half of our dynamic duo and a big reason your feed looks as good as it does. From reels and stories to posts, if it’s stylish and strategic, Lucy’s probably behind it.
She’s got an eye for visuals, a radar for trends, and makes it all look effortless. When she’s not crafting content, she’s quite literally dancing through life as a commercial dancer.
Me – Brand & Marketing Coordinator
I help write what you see, from website content to press releases, and slightly chaotic team intros like this one. Fun Fact? I run for fun. Mostly to untangle the creative chaos I’ve just scribbled down. Turns out cardio doubles as quality control.
You’ll usually find me somewhere between my desk and my snack pile, and I’m known for wild lunch combos. Some say I’m Blend Family’s AI. I say… accurate.
Bonnie - Head of People
Bonnie doesn’t just enjoy music…she treats it like an endurance sport. Her personal best sits at 26 gigs and two major festivals in one year, a schedule that would flatten most people by March. She’s the type of person who can navigate crowds, queues, and last-minute set changes with the same calm efficiency she brings to the office. She’s proof you can be both the person who thrives in a packed venue and the person who can get the team to hold a plank before 9 am.
Lauren - Head of Blend Culinary Foundation
She’s the Head of BCF, leading a cookery school charity that teaches skills, feeds communities, and gives back to the people who need it. Which is objectively hilarious, because she herself would rather do almost anything than cook for herself.
This is the same woman who once spent a summer selling Jimmie Johnson merch at his only NASCAR Cup Series appearance in Sonoma in 2010, yet still insists the most dangerous thing she’s ever faced is a bowl of peas.
She champions food education, empowers people every day, and somehow does it all while personally avoiding kitchings and waging a lifelong feud with one specific vegetable. Iconic.
Emily C - Marketing and Events Executive
She’s the Marketing and Events Exec who runs Kargo’s Instagram; the one who turns everyday moments into content and can take an amazing picture in her sleep.
Her true core identity is that her favourite season is autumn.
Give her crisp air, burnt orange palettes, cosy vibes, and a reason to post something with leaves in it, and she becomes an unstoppable force of aesthetic nature.
Adam – Lead Graphic Designer
Adam makes magic happen with a mouse and a Mac. From menus to mind-blowing posters and TV graphics, he’s the guy who makes Blend Family look as good as it tastes.
Back in 2013, he managed to do something most people can only dream of. He got blocked on Facebook by Donald Trump. The exact reason? Well, that’s classified information, even to Adam. If you ever need someone who’s not afraid to push boundaries, both creatively and digitally, Adam’s your guy.
Katy – Digital Marketing Coordinator
Fresh from graduating with a Marketing with Psychology degree, Katy brings smart ideas, a calm head, and a very bendy set of limbs (she’s double-jointed). Now looking after our emails, she loves an engaging subject line. We met at the office and clicked straight away. Since then, she’s become my go-to for creative chats, chaotic brainstorms… and regular pie dates. Some people go for coffee, we go for gravy.
Yas – Graphic Designer & Accidental Jonas Sister
Yas is a design powerhouse with an eye for colour that turns every project into a visual masterpiece.
She once got locked in a shop with the Jonas Brothers. Yes, I’m jealous. She’s the secret ingredient behind the scenes, quietly making everything look effortlessly stunning.
Mia – Events Coordinator
Mia supports Kenzie in all things events and is currently studying for her degree in Events Management. She’s also the only person we know who eats her Christmas dinner with Walker’s crisps. No, we don’t understand it either. Yes, we respect it. And yes, she’s brilliant at what she does. We met at work…and now I can’t get rid of her. Literally-she lives down the road from me. Built-in bestie, whether I like it or not. (I do.)
Yev - IT Support Admin
Yev is the person who can fix your login issues, resurrect your laptop from the brink of death, and somehow remember exactly who you are…despite being completely unable to picture your face in his head.
It’s his superpower: no mental images whatsoever, yet perfect recognition the second you appear.
Honestly, it’s peak IT behaviour. Blurry faces, sharp memory, and an uncanny ability to know exactly who’s about to ask for a password reset.
Becky - Operations Manager North
Operations Manager by day, karaoke menace by night. Somewhere between the spreadsheets, the karaoke mic, and three cats with questionable morals, she’s here keeping entire operations running smoothly.
She’s the woman who can fix a workflow, hit a high note, and negotiate with feline chaos, all before lunch.
Laura - Marketing and Events Executive
Laura is the creative brain behind Cambridge Street Collectives’ Instagram…the person who somehow makes content look effortless even when it definitely isn’t. Before that, she spent four months travelling around Australia. She’s basically solar-powered at this point: if there’s even a hint of good weather, she’s already looking at booking holidays. I’m just quietly here envying her tan.
Katherine - Finance Assistant
Katherine works in finance. But don’t be fooled: she paints, loves design, and her creative side is loud enough to need its own budget. A perfect mix of maths and mood boards.
Giulia - Events & Marketing Executive
Giulia has a master’s degree in Arts, Events and Project Management and uses it to market Alfred Works exceptionally. And if you’re wondering where she learned her people-management skills, it was inside an ice-cream van. Nothing builds resilience like someone who’s served ice cream to children mid-meltdown while parents prayed for silence. Elite training.
Luke - Project Manager
Luke is a coffee fanatic (the snobby kind), climber, foodie and cat dad. He joined Blend Family as it sits neatly at the crossroads of his two favourite things: construction and food. Ideal.
Oliver – Finance Assistant
Long before he was handling accounts, Oliver was perfecting his balance on roller skates. It started when he was young and is now a weekend ritual that he shares with his nephews. A strategic move that proves he is efficient both in and out of the office.
Rebecca – Marketing Director
Rebecca runs the marketing show with a head full of strategy and a pocket full of fun facts.
Currently juggling a PHD for fun, she speaks French and is known internally for applying lipstick without using her hands. We won’t explain. You had to be there.
I’m lucky to call her my guide and mentor.
Emily Skinner - Marketing and Events Executive
Emily is one of the faces behind Tower Bridge Collective. The girl who thrives on big ideas, loud energy and zero dull moments. Fitting, really, because she’s been a qualified scuba diver since she was ten and has been 45 meters underwater. She talks about it with the calm of someone who’s met a shark and decided it was fine.
Charlie – Finance Manager
Charlie’s the reason our books balance and budgets behave. Cool-headed and quietly brilliant, he’s the one turning chaos into clean spreadsheets, all while gently reminding us that glitter pens aren’t a capital investment. Fun fact? Charlie once played squash against world no.1 Peter Nicol, and it was filmed for BBC Look North. We’re not saying he won… but the footage exists.
Luke – IT Support
Luke speaks three languages, German, Dutch and Russian. And one that none of us can understand: IT. He’s the reason our tech works and our blood pressure doesn’t rise. We owe him.
James – Finance Director & Former Penguin
James once spent two weeks dressed as a penguin at London Zoo. Why? We still don’t know. But the budget’s never looked better.
Nigel – Bookkeeper
Nigel has survived years of Matt and Nina (we’ll get to them in another blog) and once performed Riverdance dressed as a woman. We don’t know what’s more impressive: his bookkeeping or his footwork.
Matthew – Commercial Director
Matthew once lived in a mud hut in rural Kenya for seven weeks, surviving on chapatis, maize and chai. Did he bring back amazing stories? Absolutely. Did he return with a spreadsheet? Also yes.
Andy – Head of Food Hall Operations
From stock deliveries to staff coordination, Andy’s got food ops down to a fine art. He’s the guy making sure nothing burns, and everything runs just the way it should. His sidekick? Mrs Linda, a cat with sass, standards, and a name that deserves a seat on a boardroom door.
We’re building community. One where people feel welcomed, seen, and celebrated. Whether you’re a guest popping in for lunch or a partner helping us bring ideas to life. And when you know the people behind the brand – the ones who dance, snack, design, plan and overuse the office microwave, the brand becomes more than just a name, it becomes personal.
Behind every menu board, every Instagram post, and every event is a person. Someone who cares deeply about what we do, and who we’re doing it for. So next time you visit one of our food halls, scroll past a reel, or see a new event go live, you’ll know the faces behind it.
Stay tuned for our next post, where we finally reveal more about the legends that are Matt and Nina. Spoiler: it’s juicy. Until then…
