So… What Is Tower Bridge Collective?
It all started, as all good things do, with a conversation over food. Possibly dumplings. Maybe tacos. (Honestly, it’s always tacos.)
Hi! I’m Katie – placement student, blog writer, and general enthusiast of food, community, and a good story. Welcome to the very first blog post from Tower Bridge Collective. I’ll be your narrator for this journey, so settle in – it’s going to be a good one.
Tower Bridge Collective-or TBC, if you’re into nicknames-is the latest project from Blend Family, and it’s built on a really simple (but powerful) idea.
What if food halls were more than somewhere to eat?
What if they were a place to feel at home, discover something new, connect with others, and support real people behind real food businesses? That’s the seed that grew from Blend Family’s CEO’s Matt, and Nina’s original gastropub, The Milestone, into a mission that has now reached London, with stops in Sheffield and Manchester along the way.
They didn’t want to just serve food.
They wanted to build something more. A platform. A movement. And so, they rebranded – and Blend Family was born: the powerhouse behind some of the UK’s most exciting, independent, and award-winning food halls.
We’re a team of local food lovers, designers, dreamers, and doers. The people behind these kitchens are passionate independents-serving food they love and stories they’re proud of.
Behind the scenes? We’re just as scrappy and real. Our HQ is literally based in Matt and Nina’s old gastro pub.
Speaking of our founders? They’re the kind of people who’ll happily chat to you about street food trends and community-building over a coffee (or a negroni-depends on the day).
We are still currently in the build for TBC, but we want you to think warm lighting, long tables, and plenty of buzz.
This food hall will feature 13 unique kitchens and 2 bars. It’s casual enough for jeans, cool enough for date night, and has just enough flair to make your Instagram stories look effortlessly curated.
Oh, and did we mention we’ve got a killer view of Tower Bridge?
Look, London’s full of places to eat. We know that. But this isn’t about being the newest or the flashiest. It’s about being the place you come back to. The one that feels like home.
We’re here to offer good food, real people, and a shared table in the middle of the big city. Because London can be overwhelming-but it doesn’t have to be lonely.
We’re opening this summer, and we’d love for you to be part of it. Follow us for behind-the-scenes updates, and pop by once we’re open (say hi when you do, we’re real people and we’d love to meet you).
Until then, thanks for being here. First blog done. (Only slightly sweating.)
